Basketball Game Preview: East Palestine Bulldogs vs. Southern Indians

The East Palestine Bulldogs will face off against the Southern Indians at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. East Palestine will be strutting in after a victory while Southern will be coming in after a loss.

East Palestine is headed into the game after thoroughly thrashing Leetonia: they outscored them in every quarter. East Palestine enjoyed a cozy 31-16 win over Leetonia on Monday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Bulldogs.

East Palestine's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Alivia Magness, who posted 12 points in addition to seven steals and six rebounds, and Jacklyn Ogle, who scored 14 points along with five boards and four steals. Ogle is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last 13 games she's played. Marley Blythe was another key player, putting up a point along with six rebounds and four steals.

Meanwhile, Southern was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were beaten by Columbiana 42-11. The contest marked the Indians' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

East Palestine's victory ended an eight-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-14. As for Southern, their loss dropped their record down to 11-8.
