Basketball Recap: Spokane Takes a Loss

Spokane was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss dating back to last season. They took a blow against the Mansfield Lions, falling 67-34. The Owls were not able to make up for their defeat to the Lions from their previous meeting back in December of 2023.

Spokane's loss dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Mansfield, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 4-3.

Spokane will take on Forsyth in a holiday battle at at 6:00 a.m. on Friday. Forsyth knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past four games -- so hopefully Spokane likes a good challenge. As for Mansfield, a feisty cat fight will be fought when the Mansfield Lions take on the Mountain Grove Panthers at 7:45 p.m. on Friday. Mansfield is facing Mountain Grove at the right time seeing as Mountain Grove is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
