Baseball Recap: Gulf Coast Comes Up Short

Gulf Coast and Palmetto Ridge squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Gulf Coast had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Bears by a score of 4-3. The Sharks were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Bears earlier this season, when they won 5-2.

Gulf Coast saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Palmer Johnson, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

Gulf Coast has also been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 15-10 record this season. As for Palmetto Ridge, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 15-10.

As of now, neither Gulf Coast nor the Bears have any future games scheduled.
