Baseball Recap: Teague Lions vs. Rice Bulldogs
There's no place like home for Teague, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Thursday. They blew past the Rice Bulldogs 8-1 on Friday. Considering the Lions have won three matches by more than six runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Bo Bowers and Mario Cuevas were a major factor no matter where they played. Throwing, Bowers struck out six batters over four innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. Meanwhile, Cuevas struck out six batters over two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and only one walk). At the plate, Bowers scored a run while going 2-for-3, while Cuevas scored two runs while going 1-for-1.
