Basketball Recap: Monmouth Academy's Win on Thursday Extends Winning Streak to Four

Monmouth Academy posted their biggest win since January 29th on Thursday. Everything went their way against the Mountain Valley Falcons as the Monmouth Academy Mustangs made off with a 54-31 victory. The Mustangs have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Falcons, too.

The win was the fourth in a row for Monmouth Academy, bringing their record for this year to 4-1. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.5 points per game. As for Mountain Valley, they dropped their record down to 2-3 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Monmouth Academy will wrap up 2024 with a road trip to face off against Waynflete at 6:00 p.m. on December 28th. As for Mountain Valley, they will be playing at home against Cape Elizabeth at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday.
