The Othello Huskies will take on the Quincy Jackrabbits at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Othello will be looking to extend their current eight-game winning streak.
Quincy's hitters are going to have their work cut out for them on Tuesday: Othello hadn't allowed a single run the last three times they've hit the field. The Huskies never let Grandview get on the board and left with a 13-0 win on Saturday. Considering the Huskies have won five contests by more than seven runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

Xzyyvn Martinez made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out seven over five innings pitched. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 1-for-3.
In other batting news, Othello got a big performance out of Jordan Montemayor, who scored two runs and stole two bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. Another player making a difference was Rjay Garza, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3.
Othello always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .613. That was just more of the same: they've now posted an OBP of .538 or higher in three consecutive games.
Meanwhile, Quincy can bid farewell to their five-game losing streak thanks to their game on Thursday. They were the clear victors by a 12-2 margin over Cascade. The Jackrabbits' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.
Othello pushed their record up to 8-1 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.8 runs over those games. As for Quincy, the victory was their first at home , bumping their record up to 2-5.
Quincy's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Othello hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .470. It's a different story for Quincy, though, as they've only averaged .218. Will they be able to contain Othello's hitters?
Othello beat Quincy 5-0 in their previous meeting back in April of 2019. Will the Huskies repeat their success, or do the Jackrabbits have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
