Softball Recap: Monday's Win Is Oak Glen's Tenth in Last 12 Outings

While Oak Glen's victory against St. Marys wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Golden Bears never let the Blue Devils get on the board and left with a 1-0 win on Monday. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 14-0 back in April.

Not much got past Mattie Carney, who gave up just three hits and racked up eight Ks to keep St. Marys off the board. Carney has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 16 consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Oak Glen secured the victory behind a pair of hitters. One of them was Macy Hartung, who went 1-for-2 with one triple and one RBI. That triple marked the first that Hartung has hit this season.

Oak Glen is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 12 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 26-10 record this season. As for St. Marys, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 26-6.

As of now, neither Oak Glen nor the Blue Devils have any future games scheduled.
