Recap: Southside Christian Sabres vs. St. Joseph's Catholic Knights
The Southside Christian Sabres lost against the St. Joseph's Catholic Knights back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Southside Christian was just a bucket shy of victory and fell 35-34 to St. Joseph's Catholic. Southside Christian has not had much luck with St. Joseph's Catholic recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Zane Hagy and Josiah Wright certainly did their best on Tuesday to avoid the loss. Hagy scored 14 points along with five rebounds and three steals, while Wright scored seven points. Bryson Duck was another key contributor, scoring six points along with six rebounds.
Southside Christian has been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-9 record this season. As for St. Joseph's Catholic, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 18-7.
Southside Christian will square off against Christ Church Episcopal at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Christ Church Episcopal has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 835 points over their last 11 contests. As for St. Joseph's Catholic, they will be playing at home against Brashier Middle College Charter at 8:00 p.m. on Friday.
