Volleyball Recap: West Mesa Comes Up Short + How To Watch

West Mesa was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They lost 3-0 to the Los Lunas Tigers. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Mustangs of the 3-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in November of 2024.

The final score came out to 25-13, 25-13, 25-19.

West Mesa's offense was headlined by Kianna Joe and Delilah Stidham, who picked up three kills apiece. They got some help from Isabella Garcia and her eight assists. Ava Parra controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

West Mesa's loss dropped their record down to 3-13. As for Los Lunas, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-6 record this season.

West Mesa will be playing in front of their home fans against Rio Grande at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Los Lunas, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-0 defeat against La Cueva on the 18th.
