Recap: Cesar E. Chavez Lobos vs. Lamar Texans
The Cesar E. Chavez Lobos's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their sixth straight defeat. They had to suffer through a rough 87-13 loss at the hands of Lamar. Cesar E. Chavez was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 44-2.
Lamar's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jacoria Taylor, who scored 12 points along with eight rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Taylor has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Lynn Bardawil, who scored 16 points along with five rebounds.
Cesar E. Chavez has traveled a rocky road recently having lost eight of their last ten matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-17 record this season. As for Lamar, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 10-12.
Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Bellaire the next time they take the court. Cesar E. Chavez will head out to face the Cardinals at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, while the Texans will host them at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
