Gilbert is a perfect 3-0 against Mesa since March of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. Gilbert will face off against Mesa at 3:45 p.m. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses for Gilbert and four for Mesa.

It was a proper cat-fight when Gilbert challenged Desert Ridge on Thursday. Gilbert lost 10-0 to Desert Ridge. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Tigers have suffered since February 27th.

Meanwhile, Mesa came up short against Mountain View on Thursday, falling 20-1.

Mesa's defeat dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Gilbert, their loss dropped their record down to 4-8.

The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Monday as neither team is afraid to steal. Gilbert has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 4 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Mesa struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 2.9 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.

Everything went Gilbert's way against Mesa in their previous meeting back in March of 2018, as Gilbert made off with a 15-2 victory. Will Gilbert repeat their success, or does Mesa has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
