Brainerd came tearing into Friday's matchup with seven straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 29 points) and they left with even more momentum. They blew past the Robbinsdale Cooper Hawks, posting a 79-24 win. Given the Warriors' advantage in MaxPreps' Minnesota basketball rankings (they are ranked 38th, while the Hawks are ranked 300th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Brainerd's victory was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 8-1. As for Robbinsdale Cooper, their loss dropped their record down to 1-7.

Brainerd won't have much time to rest: their next game is against White Bear Lake at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday.
