Football Recap: Coral Gables Comes Up Short

The home team had won the previous five meetings between Coral Gables and Miami Beach, and Miami Beach kept the tradition alive. The Cavaliers took a 29-20 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Hi-Tides on Thursday. The Cavaliers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Hi-Tides apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

Coral Gables now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Miami Beach, they moved to 2-5 with that win, which also ended their five-game losing streak.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Coral Gables will welcome South Dade at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Miami Beach, they will host Florida Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
