Baseball Recap: Mount St. Joseph Continues Home Dominance on Wednesday

After having lost a blowout in their previous game, Mount St. Joseph was happy to have turned things around on Wednesday. They came out on top against the Loyola Blakefield Dons by a score of 5-2. While the Gaels didn't have the best season last year (they finished 5-21), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Mount St. Joseph pushed their record up to 7-2 with the win, which was their third straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.3 runs on average over those games. As for Loyola Blakefield, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-9.

Mount St. Joseph will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Dons: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
