Volleyball Recap: Springfield Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Springfield extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to nine on Saturday, dropping them down to 0-4. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Benjamin Logan Raiders. The Wildcats were not able to make up for their defeat to the Raiders from their previous meeting back in August of 2024.

Emily Bennett paced Springfield's offense, picking up 12 kills. Bennett got some help from Taylor Clausen and her 23 assists. Molly Owen and Maniya Soles kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with four aces apiece.

As for Benjamin Logan, they moved to 3-3 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win they have posted since September 3, 2024.

Kylie Harner was the offensive standout of the game as she had five aces and four digs. That's the most aces she has posted since back in October of 2024.

Springfield wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 loss against Northmont on the 2nd. As for Benjamin Logan, they have also already played their next contest, a 3-0 defeat against Northwestern on the 2nd.
