Softball Recap: Luray Sets Scoring Season-High Against Madison County

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Luray). They blew past the Madison County Mountaineers 19-11 on Wednesday. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 17-7 last Tuesday.

Luray's victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-12. As for Madison County, they dropped their record down to 1-15 with the defeat, which was their 13th straight on the road dating back to last season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Luray will challenge Clarke County at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The last four games the Eagles have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Madison County, they will square off against Stonewall Jackson at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
