Basketball Recap: Sioux Central Skates Past West Bend-Mallard with Ease

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Sioux Central). They simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat the West Bend-Mallard Wolverines 70-37. While the Rebels didn't have the best season last year (they finished 7-14), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Sioux Central has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.0 points per game. As for West Bend-Mallard, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-9.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Sioux Central will take on Southeast Valley at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for West Bend-Mallard, they will challenge Bishop Garrigan at 7:45 p.m. on Monday. One thing working in Bishop Garrigan's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last eight contests.
