Pearl River has gone 8-2 against Nyack recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Pirates will square off against the Red Hawks at 4:45 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Harrison hit Pearl River with a four-run fourth inning on Thursday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Pirates took a 7-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Huskies.

Meanwhile, Nyack fell victim to Tappan Zee and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They lost 13-0 to the Dutchmen.

Nyack has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-3 record this season. As for Pearl River, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Pearl River came out on top in a nail-biter against Nyack in their previous matchup back in May of 2024, sneaking past 3-2. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Pirates since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
