Basketball Game Preview: North Vermilion Patriots vs. Westgate Tigers

The North Vermilion Patriots will head out to take on the Westgate Tigers at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.

Last Friday, North Vermilion was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 59-55 to Rayne. The Patriots have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Westgate lost to Northside on the road by a 65-49 margin on Friday. The loss continues a trend for the Tigers in their matchups with the Vikings: they've now lost six in a row.

North Vermilion's defeat dropped their record down to 15-13. As for Westgate, their loss dropped their record down to 18-13.

North Vermilion strolled past Westgate in their previous meeting back in February of 2024 by a score of 74-57. The rematch might be a little tougher for North Vermilion since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
