Intermountain Christian waltzed into their contest on Friday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They were the clear victors by a 12-1 margin over the Merit Preparatory Academy Knights. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 21-0 on Tuesday.

Coy White made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out six batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in three consecutive appearances. He was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base. That triple was his first of the season.

Intermountain Christian's victory bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Merit Preparatory Academy, they are on a nine-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Intermountain Christian will venture away from home to take on Wendover at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Merit Preparatory Academy, they will head out to challenge Utah Military Academy - Hill Field at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Knights will need to watch out since the Thunderbirds have now posted at least ten runs every time they've taken the field this season.
