Basketball Recap: Buckeye Comes Up Short

Buckeye was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They were beaten by the Tioga Indians 51-15. The contest marked the Panthers' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Buckeye's loss dropped their record down to 4-7. As for Tioga, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Buckeye will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Holy Savior Menard at 7:00 p.m. on January 3, 2025. Tioga will also get a bit of a break before their next matchup: they'll face off against Pineville at 7:00 p.m. on January 3, 2025.
