Baseball Recap: Timberlake Takes a Loss

Timberlake was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 9-6 to the Fairview Yellowjackets. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Yellowjackets this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 4-1 back in March.

Timberlake's defeat dropped their record down to 15-14. As for Fairview, they pushed their record up to 18-3 with the victory, which was their 18th straight at home dating back to last season.

Looking ahead, Timberlake will venture away from home to face off against Pioneer-Pleasant Vale at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Mustangs' pitching crew has only allowed 3.4 runs per game this season, so the Tigers' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Fairview, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Mooreland at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
