Baseball Recap: Make It Two in a Row for Eastern

With a playoff win on the line, Eastern rose to the challenge on Monday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Wabash Apaches a 3-0 shutout. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Comets also won the last time the pair played back in May of 2025.

Eastern saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Cody Tarrh, who went 2-for-4 with one run.

The victory made it two in a row for Eastern and bumps their season record up to 21-11. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 5 runs in those games. As for Wabash, their loss dropped their record down to 22-7.

Coming up, Eastern will face off against Eastbrook at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Panthers' pitching crew has only allowed 3.4 runs per game this season, so the Comets' hitters will have their work cut out for them. Wabash does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
