Baseball Recap: Fairfield Union Beats Logan Elm for Their Third Straight Victory

Fairfield Union strolled into their game on Monday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Logan Elm Braves 3-1. For the Falcons, this counts as revenge for the 10-5 victory the Braves walked away with the last time they faced one another back in April of 2024.

Micha Hartman made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he struck out nine batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned run off five hits (and not a single walk). That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in April of 2024. He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-2.

Hartman wasn't the only one making solid contact as two players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Ben Barringer, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and two RBI. Barringer is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: he's snagged at least one every time he's taken the field this season.

Fairfield Union's record is now 3-0. As for Logan Elm, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Fairfield Union has already played their next contest, a 4-1 win against Liberty Union on the 2nd. As for Logan Elm, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, an 8-7 loss against Westfall on the 1st.
