Football Recap: Community Christian Takes a Loss + How To Watch

The matchup between Community Christian and Holdenville on Friday hardly resembled the 22-3 effort from their previous meeting. The Royals took a blow against the Wolverines, falling 46-14. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Royals of the 22-3 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

Abe Gomez was his usual excellent self, rushing for 207 yards and three touchdowns on only 14 carries for Holdenville. Gomez's longest rush was for an impressive 58 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total. Bo Black was another major influence, as he rushed for 46 yards and ran in a TD.

Community Christian's loss dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Holdenville, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 8-0.
