Volleyball Game Preview: MacArthur Generals vs. Jacksonville Crimsons

MacArthur is 2-8 against Jacksonville since September of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Generals will host the Crimsons at 7:00 p.m. Jacksonville took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on MacArthur, who comes in off a win.

MacArthur took a loss when they played away from home on Saturday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Monday. They walked away with a 2-0 win over DeLand-Weldon. The victory continues a trend for the Generals in their matchups with the Eagles: they've now won three in a row.

MacArthur not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept DeLand-Weldon to exactly 20 points across their sets. The final score came out to 25-20, 25-20.

Meanwhile, Jacksonville came up short against Glenwood on Thursday and fell 2-0. The Crimsons haven't had much luck with the Titans recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

While Jacksonville was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 25-12.

MacArthur will have to contain Emalee Pool as she made an impact in Jacksonville's last game. She had 14 digs and one assist. Pool has been hot recently, having posted 13 or more digs the last three times she's played.

MacArthur's win bumped their record up to 6-11. As for Jacksonville, their loss dropped their record down to 6-8.
