Football Recap: Maloney Extends Winning Streak to Three

Maloney strolled into their game on Friday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They walked away with a 27-14 win over the Conard Red Wolves. Given the Spartans' advantage in MaxPreps' Connecticut football rankings (they are ranked 19th, while the Red Wolves are ranked 68th) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Maloney to victory, but perhaps none more so than Devan Bacote, who rushed for 103 yards and a pair of touchdowns. Speaking of playmakers, who could forget Jayden Soto, who went all the way with a kickoff return for a touchdown.

Maloney's record is now 3-0. As for Conard, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Maloney wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 37-14 victory against Manchester on the 3rd. As for Conard, they have also already played their next contest, an 80-68 win against East Hartford on the 4th.
