After only one run in their last matchup, Spectrum made sure to put some runs up on the board against St. Croix Prep on Thursday. The Sting came out on top against the Lions by a score of 12-7. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 8-5 last Friday.

Nick Jeske made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Jeske was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

In other batting news, Owen Carlson and Joshua Jeske did most of the damage at the plate: Carlson got on base in four of his five plate appearances with two runs, one double, and one RBI, while Joshua went 2-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one double. That RBI marked the first that Carlson has brought in this season. Another player making a difference was Levi Sims, who went 3-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

Spectrum's record now sits at 7-3. As for St. Croix Prep, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-5 record this season.

Spectrum will challenge PACT Charter at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for St. Croix Prep, they will square off against Mounds Park Academy at 12:00 p.m. on the 16th.
