Will Anderson Goes Supernova in Bellevue West Win

Starting off the list is Bellevue West's Will Anderson, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Anderson threw for 312 yards and three touchdowns while completing 71.4% of his passes, and also rushed for 96 yards. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in rushing yards.

The win (which was Bellevue West's third in a row) raised their record to 5-2. Anderson and Bellevue West will head out on the road to take on Omaha North at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Jermaine Green produced his most outstanding game to date while leading Bellevue West to the win on Thursday. Green picked up 175 receiving yards and three touchdowns. He torched the secondary when he pulled down a catch that went for 87 yards.

This season, Green has caught 8 touchdowns while averaging 80 receiving yards per game. He's made a big improvement compared to last season: at this point last year, he was only averaging 16.14 receiving yards per game.

Lincoln Northeast now has a winning record of 4-3. Scully and Lincoln Northeast will be playing in front of their home fans against South Sioux City at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Jace Erickson's Rushing Yards a New Career-High

On Thursday, Lincoln Southwest had to settle for second even though Jace Erickson put up the best numbers he has all season. Erickson rushed for 104 yards and a touchdown on only 13 carries, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. He also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, making five total tackles (0.5 for loss) and defending two passes.

On the year, Erickson has run in 2 touchdowns while averaging 28.6 rushing yards per game.

A Constellation of Stars for Bellevue West

Another Bellevue West player making an appearance on this list is Tristian Gerez-James. He rushed for 142 yards and a touchdown on only 12 carries. The bulk of those rushing yards came from one huge play: a run that gained an incredible 86 yards.
