Baseball Recap: Gateway Triumphs

While Gateway's win against Adams City wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Olympians skirted past the Eagles 10-8. That's the third time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent victory being a 14-4 win two weeks ago.

Angel Ferrusquia was excellent, going 1-for-4 with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. He has become a key player for Gateway: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 4-8 otherwise. Jose Soto also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Gateway has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-8 record this season. As for Adams City, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-7.

As of now, neither Gateway nor the Eagles have any future games scheduled.
