Basketball Recap: Valders Comes Up Short

Valders was the 67-65 winner over Cedar Grove-Belgium when they last played one another back in December of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The Valders Vikings fell 69-56 to the Cedar Grove-Belgium Rockets on Saturday.

Valders' defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Cedar Grove-Belgium, their win ended a four-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-2.

Valders will head out to square off against Two Rivers at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Valders' favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season. As for Cedar Grove-Belgium, they will be home for the holidays to greet Kewaskum at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Kewaskum knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past four matchups -- so hopefully Cedar Grove-Belgium likes a good challenge.
