Volleyball Recap: East Takes a Loss

East was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss dating back to last season. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Collegiate Spartans. The Aces were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Spartans apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in August of 2021.

Claire Buss paced East's offense, picking up seven kills. Buss got some help from Isabella Molina-Gillis and her eight assists.

Collegiate was led to victory by Maddie Ternes and Khloie Villagomez. Ternes had nine digs and nine assists, while Villagomez had six digs and two aces. That's the most digs Ternes has posted since back in October of 2024.

East's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Collegiate, their victory bumped their record up to 2-0.

East has already played their next game, a 2-0 win against El Dorado on the 30th. As for Collegiate, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 2-1 defeat against Mulvane on the 30th.
