After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Savannah, Maryville was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Benton Cardinals. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 back in September.

Maryville can attribute much of their success to Evelyn Branner, who had nine digs and two aces.

Maryville has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-7 record this season. As for Benton, their loss dropped their record down to 8-13-1.

Maryville wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 2-0 win against Lafayette County on the 11th. As for Benton, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Bishop LeBlond on the 11th.
