Westview is 8-2 against Rancho Bernardo since September of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Wolverines will look to defend their home court against the Broncos at 6:00 p.m. Westview is coming into the match on a three-game losing streak.

On Wednesday, Westview came up short against San Marcos and fell 3-1.

The match finished with set scores of 25-11, 22-25, 25-15, 25-17.

Meanwhile, Rancho Bernardo played in-conference for the first time on Wednesday and got just the result they were looking for. They came out on top in a nail-biter against San Dieguito Academy, sneaking past 3-2.

Rancho Bernardo had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first two sets, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 23-25, 16-25, 25-15, 25-20, 15-11.

Rancho Bernardo's victory bumped their record up to 12-13. As for Westview, their loss dropped their record down to 20-9.

Westview took their win against Rancho Bernardo in their previous meeting two weeks ago by a conclusive 3-0 score. Will the Wolverines repeat their success, or do the Broncos have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
