Volleyball Recap: Brawley Takes a Loss

Brawley lost against Mater Dei Catholic back in September of 2021, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Wildcats fell just short of the Crusaders by a score of 2-1.

Lucca Rubin paced Brawley's offense, picking up seven kills. Rubin also shared the team's lead in assists with Emmi Escalera: they picked up eight each. Rubin was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Brawley's defeat dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Mater Dei Catholic, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 4-1.

Coincidentally, Brawley and Mater Dei Catholic will both be playing Hilltop the next time they take the court. The Wildcats will head out to face the Lancers at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, while the Crusaders will play them later in the day, at 12:00 p.m.
