Basketball Recap: Manley Continues Home Dominance on Friday

Manley extended their home winning streak to six games thanks to a huge performance from Jaklaya Hunter. The Manley Wildcats blew past the Chicago Sullivan Tigers 46-6 on Friday thanks in part to Hunter, who went 13 of 22 en route to 31 points in addition to eight rebounds and seven steals. That makes it 13 consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Manley's points.

The team also got some help courtesy of Ja Von Willis, who almost dropped a double-double on 15 points and nine boards. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in points.

Manley's victory bumped their record up to 15-3. As for Chicago Sullivan, their loss dropped their record down to 3-6.

Manley and Senn will face off at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday without much rest having both just played. Manley's defense has only allowed 19.2 points per game this season, so Senn's offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Chicago Sullivan, they will look to defend their home court on Monday against Steinmetz College Prep at 5:00 p.m. The two teams have allowed few points on average, (Chicago Sullivan: 24.7, Steinmetz College Prep: 17.9) so any points scored will be well earned.
