Basketball Recap: Covington-Douglas Comes Up Short

Covington-Douglas was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They took a 60-52 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Medford Cardinals. The Wildcats were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Cardinals apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in February of 2024.

Covington-Douglas' defeat dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Medford, they moved to 3-5 with that win, which also ended their four-game losing streak.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Medford beat Covington-Douglas by a score of 60-52 on Saturday.
