Volleyball Recap: Franklin County Lions vs. Madison County Red Raiders

After flying high against Elbert County on Tuesday, Franklin County came back down to earth. The Lions took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Madison County Red Raiders on Saturday. The defeat continues a trend for the Lions in their meetings with the Red Raiders: they've now lost eight in a row.

Franklin County was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the second set very close. The final score came out to 25-20, 25-22.

Despite the loss, Franklin County still got an impressive performance from Avery Burton, who had four aces.

Franklin County's loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Madison County, their victory was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 4-1.
