The home team had won the previous three meetings between Shelley and Skyline, and Skyline kept the tradition alive. The Russets were just a bucket shy of victory on Friday and fell 36-35 to the Grizzlies. The Russets haven't had much luck with the Grizzlies recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Skyline's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Madison Merzlock, who posted nine points. Nelly Nunez also deserves some recognition as she posted her first blocks of the season.

Shelley's defeat dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Skyline, with the victory, they broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 5-6.

Shelley has already played their next game, a 68-42 loss against Blackfoot on the 16th. As for Skyline, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 57-49 win against Idaho Falls on the 16th.
