Baseball Preview: Messalonskee Eagles vs. Hampden Broncos

Messalonskee has been on the road for two straight, but on Monday they'll finally head home. They will take on the Hampden Broncos at 4:15 p.m. on Monday. Both teams come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Last Friday, Messalonskee narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past Mt. Blue 3-2.

Meanwhile, Hampden put another one in the bag on Saturday to keep their perfect season alive. Everything went their way against Lewiston as Hampden made off with a 10-4 victory.

Brady Eaglin looked comfortable as he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits.

At the plate, Rogan Lord was excellent, scoring two runs while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances. Andrew Cote was another key contributor, scoring a run while going 1-for-4.

Messalonskee pushed their record up to 4-1 with that win, which was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Hampden, their victory bumped their record up to 4-0.
