Soccer Game Preview: Yosemite vs. Chowchilla

Yosemite and Chowchilla are an even 5-5 against one another since December of 2019, but likely not for long. The Yosemite Badgers will take on the Chowchilla Tribe at 5:45 p.m. on Friday. Yosemite has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the game with four straight defeats, while Chowchilla will come in with three straight victories.

Last Tuesday, Yosemite came up short against Liberty and fell 3-1.

Meanwhile, Chowchilla made easy work of Minarets on Tuesday and carried off an 8-1 win. With that victory, the Tribe brought their scoring average up to 2.6 goals per game.

They hit Minarets with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from David Perez-Borges (3), Alexy Herrera (2), Christopher Aguilar-Garcia (2), and Luis Torres-Casillas.

Chowchilla's win bumped their record up to 10-6-3. As for Yosemite, their loss dropped their record down to 2-9-1.

Everything went Yosemite's way against Chowchilla in their previous matchup back in January of 2024, as Yosemite made off with a 3-0 victory. Does Yosemite have another victory up their sleeve, or will Chowchilla turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
