Basketball Recap: Tyler Reliford's Big Game Can't Quite Lead City University School of Liberal Arts over Brinkley

City University School of Liberal Arts was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took an 88-70 bruising from the Brinkley Tigers. While losing is never fun, City University School of Liberal Arts can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 315th in Tennessee, while Brinkley is ranked 78th in Arkansas).

City University School of Liberal Arts lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Tyler Reliford, who went 8 for 15 en route to 21 points. Reliford is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 16 or more in the last four games he's played. Kevion Robertson was another key player, dropping a double-double on 15 points and 11 rebounds.

City University School of Liberal Arts' defeat dropped their record down to 7-10. As for Brinkley, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 13-3 record this season.
