Softball Recap: Rosehill Christian Comes Up Short

It was a Battle of the Birds when Rosehill Christian took on Frassati Catholic on Tuesday. The Rosehill Christian Eagles lost 29-20 to the Frassati Catholic Falcons. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game two weeks ago (13), the Eagles still had to take the loss.

Kyler Edelen made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored five runs and stole a base while getting on base in all five of her plate appearances. Another player making a difference was Evan Nelson, who scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in three of her five plate appearances.

Even though they lost, Rosehill Christian always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .698. That was just more of the same: they've now posted an OBP of .667 or higher every time they've taken the field this season.

Rosehill Christian dropped their record down to 0-3 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road.

Looking ahead, Rosehill Christian will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against St. Francis Episcopal at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Frassati Catholic, they are headed away from home for the first time to square off against Cypress Christian at 5:00 p.m. on March 25th.
