Softball Game Preview: Southern Fulton Indians vs. Forbes Road

The Southern Fulton Indians will take on Forbes Road at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

For some reason, the away team has come away with the win the last five times Southern Fulton and Fannett Metal have met, but the home crowd finally got their W on Wednesday. The Indians lost 11-3 to Fannett Metal. The defeat continues a trend for the Indians in their meetings with Fannett Metal: they've now lost four in a row.

Southern Fulton saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Claire Harvey, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one run. Brynley Schriever was another, getting on base in two of her three plate appearances with two stolen bases and one run.

Meanwhile, Forbes Road was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their 18th straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against Meyersdale, falling 9-0.

Southern Fulton now has a losing record of 9-10. As for Forbes Road, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-15.

Everything went Southern Fulton's way against Forbes Road in their previous meeting two weeks ago, as Southern Fulton made off with a 27-12 win. Do the Indians have another victory up their sleeve, or will Forbes Road turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
