Softball Recap: Northwestern Tigers vs. Southwood Knights

Northwestern was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost an 8-7 heartbreaker at the hands of the Southwood Knights.

Tessa Ortman made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-4 with one home run and four RBI. That home run was her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Addy Clark, who went 2-for-4 with one home run.

Northwestern's loss dropped their record down to 3-9. As for Southwood, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-3.
