Seminole and Apopka are an even 3-3 against one another  since April of 2016, but likely not for long. The Seminoles will venture away from home to  take on the Blue Darters  at 7:00  p.m.  on Wednesday. Both come into the  matchup bolstered by wins in their previous  matches.
The scorekeeper got an easy start  on Tuesday as neither Seminole nor Boone made it on the board until the fifth inning. The Seminoles sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with  a  3-2  win over the Braves. That's two games straight that the Seminoles have won by  just one  run.

 Ava Matthews spent all nine innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned  (and one unearned) run on five hits and racked up ten Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't  tossed less than five  strikeouts in three consecutive appearances.
 At the plate,  Maggie Long was  excellent,  going 3-for-4 with one  stolen base, one  double,  and one  RBI.  Alexandra Steffano was another key player,  getting on base  in three of her five plate appearances with one  stolen base and one  RBI.
Meanwhile, Apopka came tearing into  Tuesday's  game with eight straight wins  (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 12.8 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They blew past the Hawks 8-1. The Blue Darters might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 16 contests by six  runs or more this season.
 The team  relied heavily on  Taylor Smith, who  fired off two  home runs, three  runs,  and three  RBI while going 2-for-3. She continues to improve, besting her previous  run total in each of the last three games she's  played. Another player making a difference was  Shylah Pino, who  went 1-for-4 with two  stolen bases and two  runs.
 Apopka's victory was  their fourth straight on the road, which  pushed their record up to 19-4. Those  road  wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.5 runs on average over those games. As for Seminole,  the  victory made it two in a row for them and  bumps their season record up to 8-13.
 Seminole skirted past Apopka  5-4 in their previous matchup  back in March of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Seminoles since the  squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
