Basketball Preview: Batesville Bulldogs vs. North Decatur Chargers

Batesville and North Decatur are an even 5-5 against one another since November of 2015, but not for long. The Bulldogs will welcome the Chargers at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. North Decatur took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Batesville, who comes in off a win.

Batesville can attribute much of their success to Maggie Jelinek, who dropped a double-double with 13 points and 12 rebounds, and Molly Gesell, who shot 60% from the field to rack up 15 points and four steals. Those four steals gave Gesell a new career-high. Kaylin Kathman was another key player, putting up five points along with five assists and five steals.

Meanwhile, North Decatur had to suffer through a 65-19 loss at the hands of Greensburg. The Chargers haven't had much luck with the Pirates recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.
