Basketball Recap: Niles Takes a Loss

Niles suffered their closest defeat since November 25, 2024 on Wednesday. They fell just short of the Vicksburg Bulldogs by a score of 51-48. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Vikings came into the match with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 181st, while the Bulldogs are ranked 457th).

Niles' loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 6-5. As for Vicksburg, the victory snapped their losing streak at seven games and leaves them with a 4-9 record.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Niles will challenge Plainwell at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. As for Vicksburg, they will face off against Edwardsburg at 7:15 p.m. on Friday.
