Football Recap: Everett Warriors vs. North Star Cougars        
        
		
             Everett was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight  loss. They came up short against  the North Star Cougars, falling  48-27. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Warriors of the  64-31 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture  back in September of 2023.
 When it comes to explaining why Everett lost, don't look at  Jakobe Harman. Despite the final result, he rushed for 223 yards and two touchdowns. Harman's rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his seventh straight game with at least 101  rushing yards dating back to last season.  Dillen Bell also played a phenomenal game despite the final result: he picked up 113  receiving yards.
 Even though they lost, Everett was unstoppable on the ground and  finished the game with 261  rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now  rushed for at least 153  rushing yards in seven consecutive  matchups  dating back to last season.
 North Star was led to victory by  Ethan Smith and  Kasey Yoder.  Smith gained 181 total yards and four touchdowns, while  Yoder rushed for 59 yards and three touchdowns. What's more,  Smith also racked up 135  rushing yards, the mosthe's  had since back in September of 2023.
 Everett's loss dropped their record down to 2-4. As for North Star, the  victory was  the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 5-1.
 Both  teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Everett will take on Windber at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. That  match will pit two of the most dominant  backs against one another:  Harman and  Luke Hostetler. As for North Star, they will stay at home for another  week and welcome Connellsville at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. North Star has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 125 points over their last three games.
