Volleyball Game Preview: Ansonia Chargers vs. Wilby Wildcats

The Ansonia Chargers will face off against the Wilby Wildcats at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

The home team had won the previous three meetings between Ansonia and Naugatuck, and Naugatuck kept the tradition alive. The Chargers came up short against the Greyhounds on Friday, falling 3-0. The Chargers haven't had much luck with the Greyhounds recently, as the team has come up short the last six times they've met.

Meanwhile, Wilby had to endure a three-match losing streak, but that streak is no more. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over Derby on Thursday.

Wilby got the W, but it wasn't easy, at least in the third set. The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 25-22, 30-28.

Ansonia's defeat dropped their record down to 6-8. As for Wilby, their win bumped their record up to 7-10.

Everything went Ansonia's way against Wilby in their previous matchup back in September, as Ansonia made off with a 3-0 victory. Do the Chargers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Wildcats turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
